Making our collection shine
You’re probably wondering what happens after a collection is created, right? How do the items go from being delivered to our studio to being delivered visually to our public? Well, now it’s time for the Marketing team to step in and make our collection shine.
With inspiration as our focus, the photoshoot is the moment to translate the essence of it into a whole new story.
Our mission within Brava is to tell the stories behind our clothes with new places, faces and the right amount of light and colour needed to communicate our collections to you. So, let’s see what that process involves...
1. PLANNING & ART DIRECTION
This is when we think about potential locations and the atrezzo. We define the overall aesthetic we want to transmit and the visual approach each collection needs.
Then we contact the models, and so begins the earliest stage of preparation.
Mariana is our make-up artist. We want the make-up to be subtle and transmit the message we want to put across, so we opt for neutral, uncomplicated looks. We like to let the clothing do the talking.
3. LIGHTING & TECHNICAL CONFIGURATION
Now, we’re already set up at our chosen location. The photography team takes their time configurating the lighting and setting up all the materials they’re going to use to communicate our vision.
We enjoy working with natural lighting where possible, but depending on the season, that can sometimes be tricky.
This is where we prepare the pieces we’re going to feature. Our stylist takes care of the fittings so that everything is perfect and everyone is comfortable.
5. MODEL BRIEF & FINAL SHOOT
We explain the concept behind the campaign and the narrative that we’re looking for so that the models can help us bring that to life. Body language is an important form of communication.
And then... we shoot!
Lights, camera, action.
