BRAVA EDITORIAL APRIL 2021

SOMEWHERE ELSE by @jaquidanslanuit

It's slowly getting warmer outside again and the hope we all had that a little normality returns, slowly begins to crumble. Tired eyes, heavy legs, heavy head.

Some days our thoughts circle in endless loops, questioning everything. Ourselves. Our thoughts. Our actions. Our fellow human beings. Our society. Our environment. Us. Insecurity.

In these moments I forget again and again that it is up to me to interrupt these trains of thought and to give myself new input. And it works. I can grab a new book, listen to new music and just walk or drive somewhere else. Not far away. Anywhere at all. It's just about breaking up the daily routine a little bit. Drinking coffee somewhere else, smelling the air and nature somewhere else, falling asleep somewhere else and waking up somewhere else.

I think so often about our travels right now. Camping, without internet and without much distractions. That's what's missing. But it doesn't have to be so far away. Elsewhere can be anywhere. Elsewhere smells different, tastes different and feels different. Even if it is only for one day. After that, you see things a little differently again. With a fresh look, maybe.

Elsewhere is not the solution for everything, but it lets us think for a moment that things are at least a little bit different and gives us hope again that soon everything will be in order again.

Somewhere, no matter where - somewhere else. This can be a day or 3 hours. Actually, it doesn't matter. Summer is coming. We all know that. No matter how or where. We can take the time for ourselves. In nature, everything smells the same as always. We can take a deep breath and maybe a little bit more looking forward to everything that is coming.

Stay healthy and take time for yourself!
