We choose only cotton from organic farming for our clothing. Organic cotton is an ecological raw material, that is produced and certified to organic agricultural standards. Its production sustains the health of ecosystems and people by using natural processes rather than artificial inputs. By avoiding the use of agricultural chemicals such as artificial fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides and fungicides, the yields of organic cotton are usually lower than those of conventional cultivation methods, but it keeps farmers and their families safe. In addition, it doesn’t damage the soil, has less impact on the air, and uses less water and energy than conventional cotton.

All our cotton is organic. Organic cotton is an ecological raw material, which is grown without the use of agrochemicals.

Since organic cotton is often picked by hand, this results in a very soft surface, which makes it pleasant to the skin, lets more air into the skin and helps it breathe better than ordinary cotton.

First of all: We love wool. It is an amazing natural material to wear and has kept people warm for thousands of years through the deepest winters. Unfortunately, most common farms use a cruel practice called mulesing, where big flaps of skin around the tail of the sheep are cut off. This is supposed to prevent fly infestation, which only occurs because the overbred animals carry too much wool.
We are against the idea of mulesing and for Brava one thing is clear: If we want to work with wool, we can only do it with respect for sheep. Although regular shearing around the backside is more expensive in the long run, we think it's totally worth its costs for a much happier sheep and 100% animal-friendly apparel.

Recycled wool is obtained from the reuse of old garments, through mechanical processes, without the use of chemicals, and it can be reverted to the original raw material stage, preserving its outstanding characteristics.
In the first step, used clothes are collected and divided according to compositions, colours and the micronage of the wools. After this first selection, the garments are subjected to a process of shredding and to various successive processes, which lead them back to the state of raw material.

The nuts originate in South America and are harvested naturally, as they only fall to the ground once ripe, meaning that no deforestation or unethical intervention is necessary.

Recycled polyester not only consumes less energy than the regular method, but also allows us to manufacture quality garments that are durable, resistant to abrasion and great for insulation.
